Jane Tanner is our founder. She has just under 15 years experience in the financial industry, six of which were spent at Cazenove & Co Japan where she worked in the research department. She also spent time in London at Cazenove Fund Management in the sales and marketing department.
Justin Thauwald
Director
Justin Thauwald has spent his entire career in Asia with the majority in Japan. His focus is on servicing and advising global hedge fund clients that are active in the Japan equity market. His single stock research focuses on companies that are not covered by their broader market as well as recently listed and newly listed companies. He joined Ortus Advisors as a director in 2021.
Nicholas Tanner
CEO
Nicholas Tanner has nearly 40 years experience in investing, brokering, and researching Japanese equities. He has worked in Japan and the UK and is currently based in Singapore.
Andrew Jackson
Head of Japan Equity
Andrew Jackson has been focused on Japanese equities since starting his career on Tokyo with Jefferies in 2004 as an Execution Trader. Since then, he has worked in a variety of roles in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore including MF Global, Churchill Capital, Religare and BTIG where he combines his knowledge of trading with a deep understanding of company fundamentals which allows him to craft tactical, yet in-depth fundamental strategies.
Vanessa Eisenberg
Compliance and Operations Associate
Vanessa Eisenberg joined Ortus Advisors in 2024 as an associate. In her current role, she supports daily operations by providing administrative and compliance support to the team.
